A year can be a long time in the consumer expendables
business. Last May, Ramdev, while addressing a packed press conference in
Delhi, announced that Patanjali Ayurved (https://patanjali-yog-chikitsalaya.blogspot.com/),
the nature-and-ayurveda products firm he founded, had crossed Rs 100 billion in
sales.
Ayurveda is a system of medicine with historical roots in
the Indian subcontinent. Globalized and modernized practices derived from
Ayurveda traditions are a type of complementary or alternative medicine. In
countries beyond India, Ayurveda therapies and practices have been integrated
in general wellness applications and in some cases in medical use. Ayurveda is
a holistic system which
promotes health and vitality using natural, organic and non-toxic substances
for healing, recognizing the interconnectedness of the body, mind and emotion.
Ayurveda is science of life and mother of healing with great emphasis on its
prevention and self-healing care system. To nurture the excellent and competent
Ayurvedic health care leaders and to establish Ayurved as main stream health
provider for the modern world. We perceive these objectives:-
- To impart quality education of Ayurved.
- To imbibe research attitude within Ayurved faculty.
- To promote clinical services for enrichment of the
science.
- To participate in health related national, international
scientific and community activities.
Dhupana is use of smoke which emanates after burning a dried
herb. It is extremely useful in patients with breathing problems and also in
those with non-healing wounds. It is also used as a follow-up procedure after
some Pancha Karma Procedures like Vamana.
The Ayurved college and hospital is strategically situated
at a distance of 15 kms from the Pune Railway station, 20 kms from the Pune
Airport and 2 kms from the Pimpri Railway station. It is well connected to the
city of Pune by both road and rail. The institute is thus ideally located far
away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to be easily
accessible to Mumbai.
